Børge Mogensen was a Danish furniture designer who lived from 1914 to 1972. He was known for his functional and minimalist designs, which were often made from natural materials. One of his iconic designs was the high-backed sled chair, as well as the ottoman made of oak, which was designed to have adjustable backrests, seat, back cushion and neck cushion upholstered in wool. This chair is manufactured by Fredericia Stolefabrik and is known as Model 2254.

The chair is characterized by its slim and simple design, which combines function and comfort. The high backrest and adjustable angles allow for different sitting positions, making it an ideal choice for reading or relaxing. The chair's seat, backrest and neck pillow are covered with wool, which provides both warmth and softness. The use of oak adds a touch of warmth and natural beauty to the chair.

The chair is still highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts today, and is considered a classic example of Danish design. Its appearance with minor signs of use is normal for a vintage piece of furniture and this adds to its charm and character. The chair is mentioned and described in Per H. Hansen's book "Den store Danske Møbelguide" on page 243.
